Chairman Bucci and the GERS Pension Administrator met with City Manager George Gretsas and Assistant City Manager Stephen Scott today to continue further talks for a retiree COLA. Discussions centered around viable long-term solutions that would give the Board more jurisdiction on granting future COLA increases along with the Plan Actuary's analysis of various levels of COLA increases for those retired prior to November 2000.

Another meeting will be scheduled when the City Manager’s Office has reviewed the actuarial information and options presented. Hopefully, a mutually acceptable COLA can be presented for City Commission consideration in the not too distant future.
